Hello!
This group is to connect all those interested or attending the missions to Children's Vision International (CVII) in Bogata, Colombia from February 11th - February 23rd.
Our two week mission will be taking 16 volunteers (see below) down to the CVII facility where it currently houses over 100 abandoned and orphaned Colombian children ranging from 0 - 17 years of age. We will be helping in the children's homes and school area with basic repairs, and a larger scale project of completing the flooring of an on-site clinic of the orphanage. We expect work plans to change according to the current needs once we arrive at CVII, and look forward to keeping everyone posted on the day-to-day adventures! We will also have opportunities to teach english, run kids programs, and assist in the nursery.
We ask for your partnership in prayer as our team prepares for the mission and concludes the final days of raising funds for resources and collecting donations (shoes and toiletries).
Our January 28th steak night/silent auction fundraiser was a success! Thank you to those who donated auction items, attended the dinner, assisted in setting up, and took part in the auction. We were able to raise $6000 towards funding for resources for our work projects while in Bogata.
